Proverbs 3:5-6
All of us want life. We want a good life. Whether it is school, friends, marriage, work, sports, etc. – we want the best. The world is full of ideas on how to get life. Books, videos, podcasts, conferences. But God tells us the only way to true life and to Him is through Jesus.
The connection between fatherhood and our understanding of God is profound. It has been said that our relationship with God is impacted by our relationship with our earthly fathers, and that it can even affect our ability or inability to connect with God. God uses fatherhood throughout scripture to help us connect with Him.
Assurance of salvation allows us to live as joyful people. It permits us to live free of fear. But how do we know we have this assurance. How do we know if “once saved, always saved” is true? God’s word makes it clear that we are secure in Him for the rest of our lives.
The two most important things in life are to know God’s word, the bible, and to know God’s Word, His Son Jesus. Do you know it? Do you know Him?
