What we set our mind on often determines the course of our life. If we set our mind on temporal things, we are often disappointed whether we get them or not. But there is a safe place for us to set our hopes and dreams that will never disappoint us.
Life is a Full Contact Sport
Life is short, so we should go for it. Whatever God has put on our heart to do, whatever gifts He has given us, whatever talents and abilities He has put in us – we should play it out to the max. As Nike says – Go for it.
What if God Said Yes
What if God said yes to your prayers this week? To all of them. Would the world change at all? Would we still need hospitals? Prisons? Policemen? Divorce courts? Would there still be people who have not heard the gospel? What if God said yes?

About the Name of the Website
Our home is situated on a piece of land where two rivers come together to form one. Because of the two rivers, there is abundant life around our home. A variety of plants and animals flourish at the confluence of these two rivers. Interestingly, my very life is also situated in a place where two rivers come together to form one. The rivers of Judaism and Christianity came together in my life to form one new river of life that changed me forever. God has blended these two rivers together in my life to create a rich faith and life that I would not trade for anything. It is a walk with God that is beyond comprehension, which defies all understanding. It is full of wonder and amazement. A life filled with mystery and intrigue as well as meaning and purpose. A life filled with questions and with answers. Real answers. Timeless answers. Answers that work. And it is a life worth living. Join me on this journey into the land of two rivers.
“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers. About the Author
Growing up Jewish, the extent of my knowledge about Jesus and Christianity was limited to what was on the rock album “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Becoming born again in college, that changed. Jesus showed up, and my life has never been the same. I thank God every day for bringing me into His kingdom, and write these blogs to remember what He has shown me, and to share them with my four sons and others. I owe much to several pastors who have strongly influenced me over the years, including Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Robert Lewis, John Ortberg, John Eldredge, Tim Keller, David Levine, and most recently Tim Mackey and Joby Martin. Many of my blogs are the ‘aha’ moments that I have had over the years from listening to their sermons and reading their books, and I owe them a great debt of gratitude. God has used them mightily in my life, and I feel that I am standing on the shoulders of giants. My prayer for you is that you will be blessed by these writings, that God will become more real to you, and that your relationship with Him will become deeper, more real, and more profound as you grow in His grace – that you will be a disciple of Jesus Christ all the days of your life. If we have never met, I look forward to meeting you in the Kingdom of God someday.
